After the venue was slated to host a concert from Chicago-based singer-songwriter Pat McKillen and later a Harvest Dance Night featuring a 20-piece big band earlier in the fall, events for the remainder of 2019 include:
On Nov. 2, from 6 to 11 p.m., a bash to honor what would have been the 200th birthday of Charles Dole, the mansion namesake and original owner, known as Lakeland Farm when he purchased more than 1,000 acres of land overlooking Crystal Lake in the 1860s.
On Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., a family- friendly “Winterfest” event featuring an artisan fair, pictures with Santa Claus and other children’s activities, tours of the Dole Mansion and live music and storytelling in the Listening Room.
