ShadowView is in a strip mall on the outskirts of town. You can sit in the front or the back. We chose the front, which has an area to relax, watch TV, have conversations or even play a board game. In the back is the bar and dining area.
We chose a table and checked out the beer menu. The Juice Box New England IPA has been a popular brew here. The first time it came out, they ran out. But it's back now and my fellow diner enjoyed a tall 16-ounce glass ($8). I went for a flight of 4-ouncers ($9.75), which included Juice Box, Government Shutdown, Hopic Thunder and Brigid's Fire.
When they arrived, the 4-ounce glasses came on playing cards that correlated with their tap numbers on the TV screen in the room, so you can keep them straight.
I'm a big fan of hazy IPAs and Juice Box is a good one. My fellow diner made a good choice. Government Shutdown had a hint of sweetness, but a great overall taste. It was the second best and the other two – the IPA and red ale – tied for third.
