Spooky and funny scarecrows have turned up along the eastern edge of Riverfront Park in downtown Yorkville as part of the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department's Halloween Scarecrow Walk.

They are scattered throughout the wooded pathway. Area businesses, community members and organizations were invited to design and create their own scarecrow to display for families exploring the park. Businesses participating include CASA of Kendall County, Green Connect, Lighthouse Academy of Yorkville, Little Learner Children's Academy, Spirit Cheer, the Yorkville Public Library and Stephen Alan Salon.

The scarecrow walk will be open to the public through Halloween.

The scarecrows come in all shapes and sizes.
