GENEVA – Illinois craft breweries continue to find creative new ways to connect with their fans and customers.

Penrose Brewing Company in Geneva is joining an array of Illinois breweries at 8:30 p.m. April 3 for a virtual happy hour and beer tasting. It brings together brewers and their fans in this time of social distancing, and is hosted via Zoom. Participants are predominately from across the Chicago region.

Residents who purchase take-out or delivery from a brewery this week will receive an invite to the virtual happy hour, a news release stated. Each brewery is planning something a little different, from craft beer tastings to behind-the-scenes brewery tours. Guests will have the chance to interact with the owners/brewers at the brewery, while asking questions and getting to know more about their favorite neighborhood beer.

It’s one way to continue supporting local craft breweries, organizers stated.
