Colonial Café has expanded its “breakfast for dinner” offerings with a full “Brinner” menu.
“Brinner is great for people of all ages, especially kids, senior citizens and individuals who are working third shift,” Colonial Café President Clinton Anderson said in a news release. “Those who are starting their day at 7 or 8 p.m. are not always in the mood for dinner menu items. Having hot or iced coffee, omelets, pancakes and our famous scramblers available has a delicious appeal, and it is also a hassle-free way of ordering for those who are following a keto way of eating.”
Brinner menu items include chicken and biscuit stack, chicken fried chicken and eggs, quinoa veg head skillet, apple cinnamon pecan pancake, gluten-free pancakes, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and other dishes.
“We are excited to give our customers the opportunity to enjoy our Brinner features,” said Colonial Café Board Chairman Tom Anderson in the release. “Since most of our breakfast competitors close at 2 p.m., our team is ready and more than happy in accommodating the evening requests for delicious breakfast traditionally served when the sun comes up. We’ve had a lot of fun putting together this Brinner menu and we know you’re going to love it.”
Earlier this year, Colonial Café launched a community-driven contest on social media to celebrate their iconic cow statues located in all five of their restaurants in Algonquin, Aurora, Naperville and St. Charles.
Customers have been encouraged to upload, post and tag their photos of their kids, friends and family members sitting on top of the cow for a chance to win a $25 Colonial Café Gift Card. To date, they have received more than 300 entries and have awarded more than $900 in gift cards.
“We know there are thousands of pictures sitting in people’s phones and in the cloud that should be celebrated,” Clinton Anderson said. “We came up with this contest as a way to honor our Colonial Cow and allow us to see all our loyal guests pictures and smiling faces.”
Guests are invited to enter to win on Facebook and Instagram. To qualify, like and/or follow Colonial Cafe's Facebook page (facebook.com/colonialcafes) or Instagram (instagram.com/colonialcafes), upload your Colonial Cow photo and use the hashtag #colonialcow in your caption.
“We have had a lot of success so far with this contest, and we plan on continuing it well into 2020, so there is plenty of time to come to one of our five Colonial Café locations, take a photo with the #colonialcow, and enter to win,” Tom Anderson said.
One winner is chosen every Sunday and announced on social media and in Colonial Café's weekly newsletter, The Cherry Club. To receive the weekly newsletter, visit www.colonialcafe.com/cherry-club to get started.
