ST. CHARLES – The Kavanagh Gallery at Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles annually offers the chance for anyone who took a class during the previous 12 months to be part of the first gallery show of the following year.

“Art 2020 – It’s What We Create” will be on display at the gallery between Jan.10 and Feb. 8. Displayed will be pieces by an array of artists, who are all at different stages of their artistic journey, a news release stated.

Because the show is a reflection of the classes Fine Line offers, it’s an opportunity to view the many and varied adult classes offered by the artist community.

Fine Line will host a gallery reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 10. As well as members of the Fine Line faculty, many of the artists who have pieces in the show will be present.

An opportunity for the artists to talk about their work will take place beginning at about 6:30 p.m. It’s a chance to hear about their chosen media and why they take classes at Fine Line. As with all gallery receptions at Fine Line, the event is free. Light refreshments will be served during the evening.

The Kavanagh Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 37W570 Bolcum Road. For more information, visit www.fineline.org or call 630-584-9443.
